係滴…這就是新的Fedora5，這次學聰明瞭，用公司的網路下載DVD版本，大約花了5個小時在限速模式下完成3.3G的資料。

本來想用升級模式將FC4升成FC5，但考慮到xorg的不同，所以還是使用重新安裝模式，只是原先的/tool跟/home不使用格式化，其餘的/和/swap和/boot是有重新格式化的。

這次安裝，並未備份很多資料，因為FC4時，資料是備份在/home和/tool裡頭，只要這二個分割區有掛上來，基本上該有的都有了。不過其中也遇到很多資料備份後沒寫說明，所以在還原使用習慣上花了很多力氣去找資料。。。。不過這次有抓了Ooo202中文加強版，所以我沒安裝預設的辦公軟體，但這個決定是錯誤的，因為用中文加強版無法順利啟動，這部份還在研究中。。。  ＞＜

網路設定跟FC4一樣，從「桌面」→「管理」→「網路」，設定網卡是192.168.99.2／255.255.255.0；增加一個xDSL連線，輸入「網路供應商」「帳號」「密碼」，設定為開機啟動，就可以開始以下的更新程序囉。。。

第一步：使用如何使用本伺服器的 YUM 服務（for Fedora Core 5）做全系統更新。這次已換成yum系統，不過只有新竹縣的core；update；extras；freshrpms還是無法成習慣用的程式抓回來，還得使用livna的更新伺服，才能抓到更多好東東呦（例如totem-xine等等）。

Yum
To start using the rpm.livna.org repository in yum simply install the livna-release-5 rpm package:
rpm -ivh http://rpm.livna.org/livna-release-5.rpm

第二步：中文輸入法。這次的中文輸入法，由FC4的gcin要換成scim，所以原本的嘸蝦米表已經不能用了，得轉換成scim用的bin檔。
參考資料
首先從/tool裡把以前抓的noseeing6.tar.gz抓出來用。修改掉以下的表頭，不然會在選字時出現問題。

將你的字碼表貼到在 BEGIN_TABLE 及 END_TABLE之間，下面是一個 scim 輸入法 table 的檔頭．可以整個貼去用．這些是 default setting，不用改就能用了．
  1. 注意：請執行 uuidgen 取得 UUID （把下面的 UUID 換成你的 UUID）
  2. serial number 只是個流水號，你不改也可以．
  3. ICON = @SCIM_ICONDIR@/liu5.png 這個是輸入法的 icon，弄個你喜歡的取代吧．
  4. icon 放在 /usr/share/scim/icons/liu5.png
  5. 記得字碼表要貼到在 BEGIN_TABLE 及 END_TABLE之間．
  6. nosseing6里頭大約是32937字，使用gedit去編輯，記得用成UTF-8存檔。
  7. 下指令：scim-make-table liu5.txt -b -o Liu5.bin
  8. 複製進scim系統：cp Liu5.bin /usr/share/scim/tables
  9. 登出登入後就可以使用囉。。。。

第三步：字型安裝設定；
  1. 下載「fireflysung-1.3.0.tar.gz」，準備好要裝的字型如mingliu.ttc等等。。。
  2. tar zxvf fireflysung-1.3.0.tar.gz；cd fireflysung-1.3.0
  3. 安裝xttmgr，因為yum裡頭沒有這個套件，所以要自已去找點下載
  4. rpm -Uvh xttmgr-0.9.6-3.fc3.i386.rpm
  5. ln -sf xorg.conf XF86Config
  6. xttmgr --add fireflysung.ttf；這裡可以再加入想要的字型。
  7. xttmgr --auto
  8. fc-cache -f -v
  9. 這時候就可以使用文鼎新宋字體嚕。。。。
第四步：安裝win32 codecs解碼器

  1. 到「http://www.mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/releases/codecs/」網站，下載「all-20050412.tar.bz2」

  2. tar jxvf all-20050412.tar.bz2
  3. mv all-20050412 /usr/local/lib/codecs
  4. ln -s /usr/local/lib/codecs /usr/lib/win32
  5. 進入家目錄，在隱藏目錄裡 .gnome2有個totem.addons的資料夾，我會刪除掉，然後連結至/usr/lib/win32，這樣我只要更新win32的codecs就可以了，只是，不知為何，我的drv4.so.6.0無法播放rm檔…好怪喔…
  6. 修改Selinux的安全等級為permissive後暫時可用。調查中…
第五步：安裝影音播放器
  1. yum remove totem;yum install totem-xine
  2. 這樣就可以播放大部份的影音檔（目前除了rm檔以外）
  3. 要聽ntfs裡頭的音樂，要安裝linux-ntfs喔…
  4. 註：xmms目前吃不到xorg的字型，所以不裝了（選單會呈亂碼狀）
  5. 順便裝了bmp替代xmms
  6. yum install bmp bmp-mp3 bmp-wma bmp-aac bmp-mac bmp-musepack
第六步：載掛XP分區
  1. 到Linux-ntfs下載檔案安裝。由於剛剛更新過系統，所以要下載2080的版本，如何看自己的版本呢。下達 unam -mr，就可以看到核心版本了
  2. 在/media裡新建c和d的目錄：mkdir /media/c;mkdir /media/d
  3. 用Gedit打開/etc/fstab，加入設定如下，然後下mount -a就可以使用XP分割了
  4. #use UTF-8
    /dev/hdc1 /media/c ntfs defaults,umask=000,iocharset=utf8 0 0
    /dev/hdc5 /media/d ntfs defaults,umask=000,iocharset=utf8 0 0
第七步：安裝 Firefox的擴充套件
  1. 下載蕭易玄的powerpack150套件包：http://homepage.mac.com/eshen/firefox/ff150pp.zip
  2. 解開後用powerpack.html來安裝套件
  3. 下載Flash Player Download Center Linux 
  4. 解壓後用su身份執行./flashplayer-installer；其中會輸入預設目錄為/usr/lib/mozilla；這樣就完成flash player的安裝了。
  5. 下載mplayerplug-in和mplayerplug-in Mozilla Extension
  6. 用su身份執行yum install mplayer
  7. 接著rpm -Uvh mplayerplug-in-3.25-fc5.i386.rpm
  8. 然後打開firefox，用套件安裝把mplayerplug-in-0.2.1.xpi裝進來，就可以線上聽音樂啦…哇哈哈！
  9. 附圖是firefox裡的套件。

第八步：安裝星際譯王的字典檔
  1. 複製下面的檔案，命名為install.sh，命令列輸入chmod +x install.sh，再輸入./install.sh；接著就自動安裝啦…
  2. 我裝了二本日英，三本英漢／漢英
